Brave Adventures 2022 - Exploring Ireland, by Tim and Jo Crump

In 2021 we sailed Brave to the west coast of Scotland visiting many of the islands in and around the Firth of Clyde, Isle of Mull, Small Isles and South Uist. We were away from home for two months. "Brave Adventures 21" as it became known to our friends and family who followed our trip on social media proved to be a great success. We very much enjoyed the experience and it gave us a desire to return to Scotland to explore even more of the Western Isles. It is one of the best cruising areas in the UK. The covid travel restrictions began to lift in 2022 and our plan to return to Scottish waters and take in a visit to Ireland started to take form. Why not sail the west coast and complete a circumnavigation of the island of Ireland, we said. Well it was not long before the idea developed into a plan and the crew from last year committed to joining Brave for some of the trip. We set the beginning of June to depart from Falmouth.
