77th Annual Keelboat Regatta

The 77th Annual Keelboat Regatta was held over 5-6 Jul at Seaview Yacht Club on the Isle Of Wight. 6 Teams from across the Royal Artillery family competed in what was a different competition to recent years. The first day saw high winds, reefed sails no spinnakers and a lot of wet sailors, to day two racing under full sails, genoas and spinnakers for the more adventurous. Another great event which was enjoyed by all and saw 103 RA retain the Commodores Trophy for another year, NRHQ RA in a very close 2nd and 47 RA coming in 3rd. It was great to see many new faces as well as many familiar ones. It was a great pleasure to host Carol Dutton to present the prizes again this year and wish to thank Carol on behalf of the RAYC for her continued generous financial support to the Regatta, which enable young soldiers and officers to participate.
