RAYC Offshore Courses for Spring 2020

Courses offering Adventurous Sail Training qualifications will be run in 2020 on board the Royal Artillery Yacht Club's 34' Yacht 'Bombardier', as follows:


1. 22-26 Feb: RYA Day Skipper and Competent Crew.


2. 27-28 Feb and 2-5 April: RYA Yachtmaster Preparation and Examination.


3. 9-13 Mar: RYA Day Skipper and Competent Crew.


4. 23-27Mar: RYA Day Skipper and Competent Crew.


The courses are aimed at achieving The Royal Yachting Association's certificates which are recognised Adventure Training qualifications. All training will take place in the Solent and will be onboard 'Bombardier' a 34 foot Halberg Rassy sailing yacht.

Any Regular or Reserve member of the Royal Artillery may apply, there are places for complete beginners on the Competent Crew courses. If you enjoy adventure and want to be considered for a place, candidates should get their Chain of Commands approval and apply to the RAYC Training Officer: 2Lt Will Farquhar Tel Mil: 94322 Ext 5111 Email: William.Farquhar100@mod.gov.uk .as soon as possible and not later than 18th Jan 2020, with the following information:

Full rank name and unit. Which course type / dates required and indicating any prior relevant sailing experience.

Applicants must also give a telephone number and an email address along with the contact details of their unit authorising officer/troop commander/RATO.
