Bombardier III is a Halberg-Rassy 342 with 6 berths. People booking her must have a minimum sailing qualification of Day Skipper (see terms and conditions including crew requirements and sailing restrictions). Fee rates for the 2020 season are unchanged versus the 2019 season. The weekend charter rate is £175 per day for summer weekends (1 April 30 Sep) and £150 for winter weekends (Jan-Mar and Oct-Dec). The mid-week rate (all season) is just £75 per day. Rates for 2021 will be announce in January 2021 or at the AGM.
BOAT BOOKING TERMS / COVID-19 GUIDANCE
Please note that the Terms and Conditions for booking one of the Club’s boats have been updated. When making a booking a boat, members / skippers need to fully understand and accept the latest Boat Bookings Terms and Conditions. This includes an acceptance of a liability for booking cancellations (para 9) and a significant increase in the skipper’s damage liability (see para 18-19).
In addition to Skippers liability, members are reminded that they cannot make more than two advanced summer bookings (1st April – 30th September) for a maximum of 2 weekends, or no more than 14 days in total (see Terms para 6 for more details). And for insurance purposes, they must also complete an online crew list prior to departure.
The terms and conditions on this website take full precedent over past terms and conditions, or information that may appear in the RAYC Year Book.
In addition to the current terms and conditions, until further notice, ALL skippers / members need to use the boats in line with the latest COVID guidance from the RYA. For more information, read the Commodore’s Covid-19 Update. In addition, skippers must agree to follow additional COVID Terms and Conditions / SOPs that are available on the website.
Other Important Conditions for Booking Bombardier III
Across both Club boats, no individual member / family can make more than two advanced summer booking (1st April to 30th April) for a max of 2 weekends or no more than 14 days in total.
Only members with a Day Skipper or better qualification can book / skipper Bombardier.
For insurance purposes, full crew lists must be provided on booking or prior to departure.
We request a payment of 50% to secure the booking and the final payment within 14 days of departure.
All payments are to be made using Go Cardless or PayPal (you don’t need a PayPal account to use this service).
Summer bookings (1st April to 30th September) are subject to a minimum booking of two consecutive days / nights.
Even for short charters, boats must be returned full of fuel (and add details to the logbook).
Your charter can start from 18.00 hours the day before the first charter date that you have booked.
Boats must be returned, full of fuel and water, by 15.00 hours on the last day of your charter.
Skipper’s can be liable for damage repair costs due to negligence or if they use a boat without the correct qualifications / crew (see par 18-19 of the Terms and Conditions).
