Opportunity for a Regimental Cross-Channel Expedition

Published 20:23 on 30 Jul 2019

Robin Bolton is lead Skipper for a JSASTC Exercise (EX CHANNEL EXPRESS) the week of the 2-6 Sep and will lead a flotilla of 4x Boats (3xHR34 and a Comfortina 42) across the Channel for the week. One of the HR34 remains unfilled, so the RAYC should encourage a Regt Crew to crew to bid for the yacht. The Skipper will need to be YM Coastal, and will need a DS and a CC as part of the 6/7 persons crew. One will need a FA qualification. The boat is avail for the weekend 7-8 so an extended week can be arranged through the project officer , Mike Barham, at JSASTC.

All the JSATFA action is taken care of, for Ex CE and the addition days would be arranged as Continuation Trg; Bottom line is the admin is reduced to a min and all cost are covered (less food, hbr fees for 7-8th). What an opportunity!

Any interest should be flagged up to Mike Barham who can be contacted on Mil: 9380 65316 or the Trg Admin Office onext 65971
